Stability is the single most important feature of a sit-to-stand desk. A wobbly frame reduces comfort and productivity. Key indicators of a stable desk:

• Net weight: A 1200mm desk should weigh at least 57kg. Models specified at 50kg or less are often low quality.
• Leg column size: Aim for a minimum of 80mm x 50mm. Manufacturers that omit column dimensions may be using inferior frames.

2. Electronics

Reliable electronics ensure smooth, long-lasting height adjustment. Look for:

• 100% ageing tests and auto fault detection
• Surge immunity and ESD protection
• Dedicated warranty on electronic components (minimum 5 years recommended)

3. Weight capacity

Weight capacity affects both performance and motor lifespan. Low to mid-range desks often rate around 70kg. Choose a desk with a minimum 100kg capacity for durability.

4. Height adjustment range

Typical ranges are 720mm–1200mm, which suits many users but can be restrictive for taller or shorter people. For broad usability, target a range from about 645mm to 1255mm.

5. Warranty
