Safety Requirements
General safety
- Edges of seat, backrest and armrests rounded and chamfered
- All other parts free from burrs, sharp edges and sharp points
- Any load bearing part must not come loose unintentionally
Tubular component requirements
- No tubular components with diameter greater than 7 mm and less than 12 mm with a depth greater than 10 mm
- Tubulars in contact with the floor are closed. Holes are permitted only if less than 7 mm or greater than 12 mm
Shear and squeeze points
- No shear or squeeze points created under normal use loads
- Conforms to requirements of clause 5 of standard EN 581-1
