5 things you must consider before buying an ergonomic chair

1. Adjustability Adjust seat height and arm height as standard. Look for adjustable lumbar support, seat tilt and back height to tailor fit and comfort.
2. Lumbar support Proper lower back support preserves the natural inward curve of the lumbar spine. Choose a chair with both height and depth lumbar adjustment to avoid slouching and reduce strain.
3. Seat material Adequate padding and a moulded seat improve comfort for long periods. Extra padded and contoured seats reduce pressure points.
4. Weight rating and rotation The chair should rotate easily so the user can reach the desk without strain. Confirm the weight rating suits the user to ensure durable, reliable performance.
5. Warranty A minimum three year warranty is recommended. Prefer five to ten year warranties for proven long term quality. Avoid chairs with one or two year cover only.
