Safety and Construction Requirements

• Rounded and chamfered edges on seat, backrest and armrests
• All parts free from burrs, sharp edges and points
• Movable parts designed to prevent injury and inadvertent operation
• Load bearing parts secured to prevent unintentional loosening

Tubular and Mechanical Safety

• No tubular components with diameter greater than 7 mm and less than 12 mm with depth greater than 10 mm
• Floor-contact tubulars are closed; holes allowed if smaller than 7 mm or larger than 12 mm
• Absence of shear and squeeze points under normal use
• Conforms to clause 5 requirements of EN 581-1
