General safety requirements (summary)

• Seat, backrest and armrest edges rounded and chamfered
• All parts free from burrs, sharp edges and points
• Movable and adjustable parts prevent inadvertent operation and injury
• Load-bearing parts secured to prevent unintended loosening

Tubular components safety

• No tubular components with diameter > 7 mm and < 12 mm with depth > 10 mm
• Tubulars in contact with the floor are closed; holes allowed if < 7 mm or > 12 mm

Shear and squeeze points

• Design prevents shear and squeeze points under normal use

• Conforms to clause 5 requirements of EN 581-1
